The Song of SolomonThe Song of Solomon

“And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child and in no way slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no way slay it: she is the mother thereof.”

1 Kings 3: 24-27.

“But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.”

John 19:33-35

Three Marys and JohnThree Marys and John

“ Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.”

John 19: 25

“And they all forsook him and fled”

Mark 14:50

“In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.”

John 1:1-6

“When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman behold thy son !

Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother ! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.”

The Anthem ( To John)The Anthem ( To John)

An Anthem is a start. It sets the tone.

If The Anthem seems uncomfortably  strange, difficult to follow, hard to swallow, too doctrinal and specific, alien to your ideas and beliefs, then it is very unlikely you would want, or be able, to accept the gifts to come. It is best you cruise to another site.

The Anthem tells much about John, but it is only an Anthem.

If you want to understand The Anthem better, it helps to have a book named “The Bible”. In that book are a number of ‘sub-books’ or chapters. Among these, you will find three from which excerpts appear below which are central to the words of The Anthem.

“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

The Revelation of John 1:9

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified by his angel unto his servant John.”

The Revelation of John 1:1-2

“And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him”

The Gospel of Matthew 9:9

“And I say unto thee that thou are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

The Gospel of Matthew 16:18-19.

“Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

Peter seeing him said to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee ? follow thou me.”

The Gospel of John 21:20-22
